parking_icon_x100Parking restrictions in Cobham have started to change!

Two hour parking bays have been introduced in Church Street and the High Street which is hoped will encourage more customers to the area.

The disabled parking bays have been relocated further up the High Street, now outside Boots and Carluccio's, also directly opposite on the other side of the road near M&Co. (Please respect these disabled spaces, they are needed by those that REALLY NEED them.)

Limiting parking to two hours will enable shoppers to park for short periods and browse the shops without making it a special shopping trip. This should help encourage locals to come to Cobham and support our local shops as well as giving them more opportunities to take advantage of the discounts and offers offered by the Village Card.

Some car parking spaces by the river have been replaced with a new footpath which now allows unimpeded pedestrian access at Riverhill between Cobham Mill and the High Street. Not only does it improve pedestrian access but it opens up the views across the river which will be further enhanced by the Riverhill project due to be completed later this year by the CCHT.
